Kelly Hutchison DC

Principled Chiropractor and Owner

Kelly is a passionate chiropractor, wife, daughter and friend. With more than a decade of experience, she possesses a wealth of knowledge and skill to provide exceptional care for you and your family.

She has undertaken extensive postgraduate courses in paediatrics, chiropractic adjusting techniques and neurology. To name a few:

She is a graduate of the University of Johannesburg (South Africa) with distinction and a member of the Dutch Chiropractic Federation (DCF), Stichting Nationaal Register van Chiropractoren (SNRC) and International Chiropractor’s Association (ICA).

Her passion is working with individuals, expats and families of all ages, from newborns to the wise and older, who are seeking an alternative approach to their health, instead of drugs or surgery.

She believes that everyone has the capabilities and strength to reach their full potential, we just need to unlock it by guiding the collaboration of the mind, body and soul.

I was born and raised in the multicultural and beautiful Johannesburg, South Africa. My first encounter with the power of Chiropractic was when my mother was left in debilitating pain and agony, after a traumatic event. She was never able to pick me up and was always quickly angered. It all started after a severe car accident that left her fighting for her life.My mother tried everything from pain pills and surgery to physical therapy. Nothing seemed to help her.

One day a friend suggested she try chiropractic. She was hesitant at first because nothing had helped. She thought: “What can a chiropractor possibly do for me?”. After she kept getting worse, she had more pain and no hope. She felt she had nothing to lose, so she booked an appointment with a chiropractor. At the first visit my mom realised that chiropractic was different. After a full spine and nervous system examination, the chiropractor explained that due to the trauma, the nervous system function was impeded, preventing the body from healing.
The chiropractor took the time to explain to her what had happened and what needed to be done, this made sense to her.

In the weeks that followed since my mom started with chiropractic care, I noticed the change in my mom. She was happier, less irritated, less likely to snap at me and she had her energy back. Even though the pain had not completely gone away yet, I had started getting my mom back. The chiropractor told my mom about the importance of the spine and having a nervous system functioning without interference. He explained that as everybody has a dentist, so should everybody have a chiropractor.

Soon my father and I were under care. I saw my family benefit in so many ways, I realised then that I wanted to help others in the same way. At the age of ten, I knew I wanted to become a doctor of chiropractic.

Knowing my life’s purpose at a young age was empowering. Everything I did was to ensure I had good grades and great health to perform at my best in university.

I graduated from the University of Johannesburg back in 2011 with distinction and became a member of the Golden Key Society. I had the joy of working as an associate and then starting my own successful practice in Greenstone, South Africa.

In 2016, my husband and I decided to get back in touch with our European roots, with his mom being born in Scotland and my great grandfather coming from Germany. We decided to live in this incredible country and make it our home. It has been the best decision we’ve made and love living in our hometown of Utrecht. With over a decade of chiropractic experience having worked in South Africa, Seychelles and now the Netherlands, I decided to follow my heart and The Chiropractic Collab was born here in Utrecht”.
